Amalfi's Best Food and Hotels: A Traveler's Guide

Exploring a new city is always exciting, and for me, one of the best parts is trying out local restaurants and hotels. Amalfi is a town that has captured my heart with its delicious food and stunning views. Below, I'm sharing my top picks for restaurants and hotels in Amalfi.

Satisfy All Your Senses

Located in the Hotel Residence, an 18th-century palazzo just steps away from the famous Duomo di Amalfi, Sensi promises a unique dining experience that will satisfy all your senses. From the quality of food to the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant, everything is top-notch. I tried both Michelin Star restaurants in Amalfi, and Sensi was my clear favorite.

Getting to Sensi can be tricky, so take note of the following directions. If you're facing the Duomo di Amalfi, look to your right at Pasticceria Pansa. To the left of this restaurant, you'll see a staircase that leads directly to the entrance of Sensi.

When dining at Sensi, talk to the staff about your preferences and expectations. The six-course meal is an excellent option, and the wine selection is impressive.

A Gastronomic Experience Perched Above the Sea

Glicine offers a Michelin star dining experience with seasonal Mediterranean flavors. The restaurant is part of the Hotel Santa Caterina, which is an excellent option for accommodation in Amalfi.

If you prefer more modern accommodations that still feature breathtaking views, check out the nearby Hotel Miramalfi. It's a must-visit spot in Amalfi. Mario's Lounge Bar offers an incredible view, and Donna Emma La Cucina Restaurant serves fine dining suspended over the sea.

If you're looking for a more traditional dining experience, head to Antica Trattoria Barracca. Since 1945, they've been serving homestyle cooking and hospitality in the Piazza dei Dogi. It's within walking distance of the Duomo di Amalfi yet off the beaten path.

Lemon Sorbet

Finally, don't miss out on Amalfi's iconic lemon sorbet. You can find it in one of the shops across from the Duomo di Amalfi.

I hope my recommendations for restaurants and hotels in Amalfi inspire you to plan your next adventure. If you're heading to Amalfi soon, let me know what you're most looking forward to trying!
